Maïa Archive is a product development and consultancy studio that collaborates with independent brands and creators.

Founded in 2019, Maïa initially focused on developing and producing fashion items such as woven, jersey, and knitwear products in Northern Italy.

Today, we are a team of product developers who support brands as an external product development office. Our work extends from material sourcing to production, and includes logistical and organizational support.

We are also deeply engaged in sustainability and traceability, monitoring every stage of product development and constantly striving to improve the life-cycle impact of the products we help create.

At Maïa, we practice collaborative development: a working method that builds a real dialogue between creative vision and technical expertise. We believe that strong partnerships are the key to delivering high quality products.

We source materials from stockists who recover surplus from luxury brands, and from trusted suppliers with strong sustainability practices.

Using stock materials reduces the need for new, resource-intensive processes, while our “zero-kilometer” approach prioritizes suppliers close to our producers, cutting down on transport and emissions.

Our main partners are small workshops, usually made up of a handful of skilled artisans, who share our values and welcome experimentation, including upcycling. Working closely with them ensures direct communication, transparency, and precision throughout development and production.
