As product developers, we’re constantly surrounded by techniques, know-how, and materials that inspire us  and that we feel a strong need to share. We often handle beautiful raw and semi-processed materials that, due to the nature of production cycles, end up partially unused.

Maïa workshops series is an experiment born from the desire to pass on some of the techniques we work with every day, while also giving a second life to the beautiful leftover materials from our studio.

During the workshops, we’ll guide you through techniques we find to be the most playful, expressive, and community-building, presented in a simpler and more accessible way.

These sessions are led either by our team or by textile and product designers guests, and include the explorations of crochet, embroidery, pattern making, mending, and weaving.

Lore De Schutter

• Weaving & upcycling denim

Lore is an illustrator and textile designer focusing on sustainability through textile repair. Her workshops are focused on the technique of visible mending.

The idea behind visible mending is to give new life to worn objects, not by hiding the repair, but by making it visible and turning it into an integral part of the garment’s story and its renewed aesthetic.
